The latest issue of LOVE is its largest yet, with a gobsmacking 432 pages. But don’t let the grownup-ness fool you. The theme this time around is innocence, with three young actresses in lacy white doll dresses gracing the cover: Hailee Steinfeld, Chloe Moretz, and Elle Fanning. (You know how LOVE loves to publish multiple covers.) Interviews with them reveal refreshingly normal teenage concerns, plus others that occur only in the life of a Hollywood starlet on the brink of celluloid domination.
“We were fascinated by the lack of inhibition and the power that freedom from self-consciousness can bring,” says editor-in-chief Katie Grand. “Normally such qualities are at their strongest in the young, which is how we arrived at putting three youthful actresses on the cover, the three we think who are most likely to remain level-headed amid all the inevitable success which awaits them in their future careers.”
Of course, fashion models will not be ignored, and so five other LOVE covers feature Lara Stone, Daphne Groeneveld, Nyasha Matonhodze, Kristen McMenamy, and Mariacarla Boscono. They’re shown without makeup and, like their starlet counterparts, crying. Because models have feelings, too.
