America’s economy is teetering on the verge of a breakdown. But breakdowns of the emotional sort are so much more fun. And so, on July 25, Bar Basque at the Eventi Hotel will launch a recurring Monday Movie Night, screening films with a fashion theme or fashionable fan base. First up, on the restaurant’s jumbo screen, Diane von Furstenberg and W’s Stefano Tonchi will host Pedro Almodóvar’s 1988 camp classic Women On the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. A limited number of tickets are available ($60), which includes cocktails, tapas and the film.
