Hooked: Lanvin

With the royal hullabaloo—oh sorry, wedding—last month, our dreams of courtly escapades have been reawakened (and obviously we’d be far more spectacular than her royal homebody). So we’ve spent countless hours daydreaming of our appointment to princess or duchess or whatever—and of a certain HRH in a speedo—and partaking in Lanvin’s latest excuse to vacation in St. Tropez.

The French house’s recent launch of their summer pop-shop on the Mediterranean, along with their summer 2011 accessories collection, Jewels for a Princess, makes us think that they were a bit smitten with the royal couple too, non? The collection, under the creative direction of Alber Elbaz, features pearl and crystal necklaces loosely bound between wispy trains of satin silk and grosgrain ribbon, while layers of crystals and beads are wrapped between chiffon, tulle and polished metal. Sure, we can imagine them on Her Royal Highness, but we’re des princesses too, damnit!
