Adam Kimmel Men’s

It’s time to grab your board and catch a wave, dude, because Surfin’ USA was the inspiration for Adam Kimmel’s spring collection, his first runway show. So much so that everyone was given a stick of Sticky Bumps surfboard wax to complement the 60s-inspired collection of ocean-blue, busy-print, easy-breezy, beach-ready pieces.

But this was no Corona ad. A giant screen projected an equally giant pipeline wave as classic suits, windbreakers, shorts and bare feet came down the runway to a soundtrack of high-octane surf music. So what if none of the models looked as if they’d ever hopped aboard a surfboard (well, maybe one). After all, this is Americana in Paris, Kimmel’s specialty.
