The Giving Treehouse
What you did in your treehouse growing up is your business. For most people, treehouses are wholesome places, where wholesome things happened. Which is why Stockholm-based fragrance house Byredo, known for its exquisitely blended, memory-based perfumes, has launched a scented candle called, simply, Tree House. The new bougie, as the French say, was created for the Byredo’s Japanese launch at Adam et Ropé Biotop store in Tokyo. An elaborate, almost livable treehouse in the courtyard—designed by an artist of such things, Takashi Kobayashi—served as the inspiration for the project, with fibrous notes of bamboo, myrrh, hay, blond cedarwood, and sandalwood. $65 at Byredo.com
