Christian Dior haute couture silk faille coat over a black-and-white linen skirt, 2002, currently on view in the exhibit “Inspiration Dior” at Moscow’s Pushkin Museum of Fine Art (through July 24). Approximately 120 couture gowns and iconic photographs of Dior fashions are shown alongside the source that inspired them, whether a painting by Matisse, a photo of Dior’s garden in Granville, or a contemporary work of art by Vanessa Beecroft.
