How You Can Help the CFDA Help Japan, Part II
Last week we told you about Fashion & Friends for Japan, a CFDA auction on Charitybuzz.com benefiting Japan’s earthquake and tsunami relief efforts, with extremely generous donations from New York’s fashion community. Lots included a meeting with Anna Wintour, a fitting with Tom Ford, a lunch date with Tim Gunn, a Barbie made in the winning bidder’s image—and so on and so on.
Today we got word that the auction has been more successful than anyone anticipated, raising over $180,000 right off the bat. And that, of course, calls for a whole new load of auction lots. In the second round, you can bid on: two tickets to Marc Jacobs’ next fashion show (includes a bag from the fall ’11 collection); dinner with Natalia Vodianova; a makeover and shopping spree with Shalom Harlow; a trip to Sundance Film Festival as a VIP guest of Kenneth Cole, a meeting with Gwen Stefani backstage after attending her next L.A.M.B. collection—and so on and so on.
These really are too good to pass up. And your conscience will thank you.
