Net-a-Porter and Runway to Green Are Getting Their Eco On

Earth Day is more than three weeks away, but you can bet eco-freaks are getting an early start. For its part, Net-a-Porter has partnered with Runway to Green, an organization that wrests from designers a commitment to investigate sustainable manufacturing practices. In this case, that amounted to 25 participating labels, who’ll also dedicate items from or create items for their fall collections to the cause. Net-a-Porter will start selling these items today, March 29th, months before they’re available in designer boutiques. A minimum of 10% of net proceeds from the sale of the Runway to Green designs will be donated to Runway to Green, which in turn funds the affiliated NGOs.

And now, the full and exhaustive list of participating brands: Prada, Gucci, Balenciaga, Burberry, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Jacobs, Alexander McQueen, Diane von Furstenberg, Manolo Blahnik, Oscar de la Renta, Stella McCartney, Jason Wu, Alexander Wang, Tory Burch, Derek Lam, Notte by Marchesa, Marni, Michael Kors, Rachel Roy, Rag & Bone, Thakoon, Osklen, Pringle of Scotland, Aurora Lopez-Mejia, Tabitha Simmons, Kara Ross, Sergio Rossi, Timex 80, and Tommy Hilfiger.
