Balenciaga

Ridiculously Short Recap:
Once again, Nicolas Ghesquière blasted off into the unknown at Balenciaga, pushing the very limits of proportion, perspective, texture, and color, then splicing it all together in a high-concept bonanza of innovation and chaos. It was a feast for the eyes and food for the brain.

Random Thoughts:
Giant chubbies (with matching bags) woven from strips of black pleather, unibrow make-up, knight’s armor, hardly any skin showing, dresses resembling an inside-out leather, emotionless, utterly masculine except for white silk skirts with flower prints, extreme asymmetry, brass buttons nearly the size of doorknobs, laboratory of ideas, that pink and black contrast almost hurts the eyes, stiff materials, priestly, there is beauty in chaos.
