Petrou

For fall, Nicolas Petrou went to colorful lengths and tribal extremes. Which tribe exactly, we aren’t sure, somewhere between Krishna and Avatar. But guests at the presentation at the Maritime Hotel seemed sure about the denim pants and jackets, often with panels in plaid with a jingling metal trim on pockets. A burgundy suit continued the neo-tribal patterns, with the back of the jacket and its lapels completely enamored with it. The pants, at times, featured an asymmetrical waist with a sweater tied around it, which gave it a casual ease that can be addictive. With slicked-back hair and their faces painted, the Petrou man appears ready to take on the concrete jungle.
