Ohne Titel

Alexa Adams and Flora Gil of Ohne Titel looked to early Apollo mission spacesuits for the inspiration behind their fall collection. An emphasis on form, volume and the relation between polar extremes brought a juxtaposition of soft and structural elements. In a palette of lush red, gray and white, silk pleated dresses and organza tops evoked urgency, as did architectural knitted garments and convoluted lunar patterns. Zipper detailing, shots of metallic and fur trims projected a hyper-modern sensibility, as in a black metallic wool zip dress with asymmetrical sleeves and boots with an elastic band at the ankle.

“Flora and I were interested in exploring ideas of constructed surfaces and strength paired with sheer, weightless volumes that hold light,” said Adams after the show. “There is an interesting distance and tension between the two extremes.”
