Fashion Week Collaborations

Fashion and art have fast become the best of bedfellows, and they’re not parting ways anytime soon. So while we’re not looking forward to hailing cabs in sub-zero temperatures next week, at least we have cozy places to go…

As usual, Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld is descending on the city with his usual arty mission. This time the Roitfeld scion, along with Andy Valmorbida, is curating a show of graffiti artist Retna, opening with a fete on February 10…

Tim Hamilton is following up his cabaret presentation with Kalup Linzy last season by enlisting artist Ross Bleckner, whose paintings he’s transformed into prismatic New Rave prints for his latest collection (the print even adorns the invite)…

Finally, from our neighbors to the north comes a collaboration between Jeremy Laing and artist Scott Treleaven, the latter producing a special print of his dreamy, slightly witchy handiwork for the former. As Jeremy tells us: “I have wanted to collaborate with my friend Scott for some time. So after the recent eclipse, when the direction for my fall 2011 collection turned lunar and a bit pagan, I knew it was time.”
