Another Fifteen Minutes for Andy Warhol

Before Karl, there was Andy. And much like the Kaiser, the father of Pop Art was a master of high-low mash-ups, producing a never-ending series of extracurriculars, from art to advertising, and everything in between. Now, just in time for the holidays, MOMA presents us with a Warhol treat, a look at his legendary early films, the full lineup of his silent valentines to celluloid that captured some of his most indelible images and collaborators. On view are a broad array of Superstars, including Edie Sedgwick, Lou Reed, Dennis Hopper and Nico, as well as cinematic classics Sleep and Kiss. Who knew doing nothing could look so good? As a bonus, you can set up your own Warhol screen test online, or simply peruse a catalog of contemporary hotties putting their best look forward.
