While others are gearing up for chilly temps, the art world is getting ready for its yearly spring break, also known as Art Basel Miami, a weeklong whirlwind of art and nonstop parties. Never one to miss out on free-flowing champagne, the fashion world is following suit, putting on its best arty hat and joining the festivities. A few of the highlights…

• Hunky Brazilian Lorenzo Martone gives props to his homeland, hosting a dinner for Melissa, pioneer of jelly shoes, equatorial-style.

• Even though he’s no longer helming Deitch Projects, Jeffrey Deitch’s party will go on at the Raleigh, and at its regular time, Wednesday night, with a special performance by LCD Soundsystem.

• Not to be outdone, conceptual art darling and front-row staple Terence Koh is partnering with Lanvin for a fete at the house’s Bal Harbour boutique.

• Jefferson Hack and art-world dowager Marina Abramović will take over the Standard for one of the week’s more anticipated bashes, while down the street, Visionaire will host its usual affair.

– And of course, who could forget the art? There’ll be plenty of it, but our favorite (because of its unbridled narcissism) comes courtesy of the ever-radiant Kate Moss, who’s edited and will debut a special portfolio of her favorite photos. Of what, you ask? Herself, duh!
