Marc Jacobs Does Drag—Again

It’s official, tranny is a trend. Consider the evidence: James Franco striking a Marlene Dietrich-meets-Lady Marmalade pose on the cover of Candy; transgender Brazilian model Lea T appearing in Givenchy ads; and those over-the-top editorials Nicola Formichetti styled for Arena Homme + and Hercules.

Now Marc Jacobs himself, a longtime fan of Hermès Birkin bags and kilt skirts, has jumped on the bandwagon (and not for the first time). He appears on the cover of the new issue of Industrie in a fur-collared coat, squishy hat, brunette locks, knee-high socks, high heels and painted toenails—put together by Louis Vuitton stylist Katie Grand. (It gets much more salacious inside.) The subtitle says it all: Mrs Jacobs.
