Performance artist Kalup Linzy’s stint on General Hospital may have come to an explosive end (and the best soap finale ever!), but his dramatic turn is far from over. The funk diva has just debuted his own web series that follows the highs and lows of aspiring diva Patience O’Brien, whose singing dreams are derailed by art-world intrigue. The debut episode opens with the poignant ballad Pain In My Butt, which pretty much says it all (we advise you pay close attention to the lyrics). From there, the melodrama unfolds with Linzy serving up a delicious cast of characters—curators, groupies, gallerists—all done up in Linzy’s inimitable version of drag vérité that gives Tyler Perry a run for his money.
