Forget jazz hands. For Prada, it’s all about jazz eyes. Their new Swing eyewear, launched at Joe’s Pub a few months ago with a live performance by Nina Hagen (we saw, we loved, we might have even sung along), is finally making its way to stores. The name Swing comes from jazz jargon, referring to a switch from one chord to another—you’d know it if you heard it. These particular styles, with their tinted lenses and upturned cat-eye shape, recall a very distinct, 1950s form of jazz, a cross between Beatnik, Miles Davis and Mad Men. Get hip to it, daddy-o! $245 at Prada boutiques (end of October).
