Rag & Bone
Trippy isn’t the first word that ordinarily comes to mind at Rag & Bone, but this season David Neville and Marcus Wainwright ventured far from their downtown utilitarian roots. Looks were showier than in seasons past, and the destination conjured a militaristic boudoir, harnessed (literally) by Jean Yu’s lingerie, alternately punctuated by nudes and bright color. Chiffon, leather and macrame all featured, shown in layers over faux-gartered shorts. Bolts of silver, backpacks and strapping galore lended the collection a futuristic club-kid vibe, as if the Rag & Bone girl had parachuted into a desert rave in the year 2050.
