The Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde to Launch a Line of Eco-Clothes

Technically, rocker Chrissie Hynde may no longer be with the musician-boyfriend she penned the song Perfect Lover for, but that doesn’t mean the two aren’t still making sweet music. And eventually, perhaps, clothing. Prior to recording her latest album with her new band (which includes JP Jones, the sartorially inclined loverboy in question), the Pretenders frontwoman shacked up with him in Cuba for a marathon, erm, songwriting session. Seems the two were in sync in more ways than one, hence the decision to launch an eco-friendly clothing line together, Fairground Luck. Hynde, a longtime veggie and PETA activist, plans to create leather jackets, skinny jeans and cowboy boots made without animal skins, according to WWD. Though the duo are only in the consulting stage, design-wise, the title of their new album, Fidelity!, suggests a longterm working relationship. Awww.
