In the wake of Junya Watanabe’s nautical-themed men’s collection, with enough sailor stripes to make you seasick, the French helmet company Ruby has just launched its newest model, following last year’s tweedy Karl Lagerfeld collaboration. Judging from the headgear’s bounty of blue stripes, it looks as if the cute, semi-antiquated French sailor’s top is on the threshold of a fashion moment not seen since Jean Paul Gaultier’s collections of the late 80s.
