Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin Get FOAMed Up
Dutch photographic duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin returned to where it all began over the weekend, descending on their hometown of Amsterdam to celebrate the opening of their much-anticipated exhibition at the FOAM Photography Museum. If not quite a retrospective, the aptly titled Pretty Much Everything (on view through September 1) presents unforgettable highlights from the couple’s illustrious 25-year career. In no particular chronological order, you’ll find some of the most iconic images in recent fashion history, such as their memorable collaborations with French design team (and fellow duo) M/M Paris.
In fact, doubles seemed to be the unofficial theme at the opening, which drew all sorts of fashionable pairings, including model besties Anja Rubik and Raquel Zimmermann, fashion team Viktor & Rolf, and Paris Vogue editors Emmanuelle Alt and Geraldine Saglio. The duo of the hour also took the momentous occasion to speculate on future plans, which they said might include expanding into feature films. We smell Oscar already!
