Sølve Sundsbø Shoots the CFDA’s Journal

If we get a little restless in between teary acceptance speeches, gossiping and guzzling champers at Monday’s CFDA Awards ceremony, at least we’ll have something pretty to peruse. The accompanying journal this year, shot by Sølve Sundsbø, spotlights both nominees and honorees, “pairing the designers with a reflection of their work and someone who represents their aesthetics,” creative director Trey Laird tells WWD. For Alexander Wang, that means a gaggle of his high school buds; for Jack and Lazaro, a group shot featuring both the duo’s design team and a slew of accessories. In lieu of womenswear nom Marc Jacobs, who couldn’t make the shoot, models instead wear “Marc” masks (seen here), a nod to the street-casting for his fall show. But our favorite image might just be Tom Ford’s, shot solo in a room full of mirrors. The man is, after all, his own muse.
