Hint Tip: Shantell Martin

Usually gallery shows go up and stay preserved throughout their predetermined duration, but illustrator and projection artist Shantell Martin follows a line to its own enlightenment, on its own time. Tonight, for a show called InsideOut OutsideIn, she’s staging a deconstructed opening at Collette Blanchard gallery in the Lower East Side that’ll unwrap itself over the next ten days—i.e. a drive-in screening, skin art, drawing people’s auras—culminating with a parade on May 22.
