Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin Return to Amsterdam
The vast oeuvre of Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin got its humble start when the photographers met in 1986, fresh out of art school. But it wasn’t until they moved to New York in 1995 that their careers exploded, resulting in campaigns for Gucci, YSL, Chanel, Balmain, Louis Vuitton and Chloé, as well as editorials for major fashion titles. Okay, so you forgot a few unforgettable images along the way, but here’s your chance to bone up on the Dutch duo’s work spanning their 25-year partnership. Amsterdam’s Foam museum has lured them back, at least for a little while, to stage Pretty Much Everything, a survey—some might say retrospective—of 300 art photos, fashion images and portraits hung without regard for chronology.
