You know how there’s a long-standing divide between the loves of fashion and design? Well, think about this: don’t you want something cute to sit on to properly frame your outfit? Later this week (April 14-19) the international design community, in their best architectural eyewear, will once again descend on Milan for the annual Salone del Mobile furniture fair. Last year’s installment saw the debut of Margiela Home, and this year’s line-up promises a barrage of new goodies, from an exhibition of handcrafted pieces organized by Wallpaper to Swarovski Crystal Palace, featuring specially commissioned objects from the likes of Yves Béhar. And of course there’ll be loads of wacky couches made from wacky materials—stone, paper, you name it. By the way, can someone please make a couch out of potatoes? Thanks.
