In It to Win It
Our hearty congratulations to Erdem Moralioglu, who took home the prize for the inaugural British Fashion Council/Vogue Fashion Fund, which brings with it £200,00, additional funds and a yearlong mentorship. The young, hunky designer edged out the likes of Christopher Kane, Marios Schwab and Richard Nicoll, fellow visionaries shortlisted for the award. Ultimately it was the strong yet soft architectural oeuvre of the Turkish-Canadian that captivated the judges, revolutionizing cocktail possibilities for the new decade. And of course, it hardly needs mentioning, Erdem’s unmatched skill with prints didn’t hurt either, providing some of the most adventurous and inspiring takes on florals since, well, Monet.
