Fast on the heels of The Runaways comes a slew of fashiony films starring fashiony—if less feathered—actresses. This Friday, Coco Avant Chanel writer/director Anne Fontaine brings us Chloe, a thriller in our favorite vein (erotic), starring face-of-Bulgari Julianne Moore as a kinky doctor who hires an escort to seduce her husband. Lesbian hijinks ensue. Meanwhile, Balenciaga muse Charlotte Gainsbourg plays the much-younger mistress of a late writer and would-be paramour to his biographer in James Ivory’s The City of Your Final Destination, opening next month. Finally, ever-mysterious Tilda Swinton (check out our Hinterview) stars in I Am Love as an unhappy, Russian émigré looking for love outside of her marriage to a wealthy Italian industrialist. Expect sexual repression, bourgeois ennui and killer clothes by Raf Simons for Jil Sander.
