Following in the footsteps of would-be thespians Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell, Agyness Deyn has officially added “actress” to her CV. Last Friday the English model, who’s absent from the runways more often than not, made her cinematic debut in artist Peter McGough’s 13-minute short Mean To Me, playing a sultry, 1930s femme fatale who gets kicked to the curb by her down-on-his-luck lover. Having told the New York Times over the summer that she wants to “branch out” professionally, Aggy might just make it to a theater near you sooner than later. Clearly she already has her Hollywood poses down. We only hope her efforts won’t involve fighting the KGB with Billy Baldwin or singing tone-deaf alongside Vanilla Ice.
