Tim Hamilton Redux

Tim Hamilton’s Redux secondary range continues the designer’s threat of street-inspired American sportswear with a dark twist, giving New York something to cling to as he abandons us for the runways of Paris for his main label. Slouchy drop crotches, tapered denim and long johns were paired with Doc Martens that appeared as if they’d be dipped in tar and covered in shards of glass. Outerwear in electric blues, browns and blacks had ingenious detailing, like a hooded windbreaker that’s able to be zipped in half down the back. Hamilton spoke of Japan as an influence, where Redux is manufactured. Sipping on gin-and-tonics and listening to the cacophonous sounds of Fever Ray, one could not deny the impulse to shop, or go splashing their boots around in some tar.
