Designer Alexa Adams and Flora Gill of Ohne Titel achieved two feats for fall: creating a novel take on leggings and finally infusing the much-maligned pantsuit with sex appeal. Knitted mesh (originally developed as the duo’s alternative to lace) was oversized and cut into graphic leggings, paired with short, flouncy leather or leather-and-mesh dresses. Silhouettes favored the lean and mean, with a few slouchy jodhpurs and wide-leg trousers thrown in for good measure. Matching military jackets featured slight bustles, in a nod to Victoriana. In our sole Stevie Nicks shout-out of the week, we say: Give us your leather, ladies, and your lace!
