Robert Geller

Were a young Noel Coward alive today and living in the Lower East Side, we wouldn’t be surprised to find a few Robert Geller pieces in his dandified (albeit tiny) closet. Geller’s latest collection had the distinct whiff of a more genteel era—witness the wool capes and traveller hats—yet it remained firmly rooted in the present. Jersey sweatpants and worn leather jackets served as unexpected foils to the woolly scarves and silk collar-pinned shirts parading luxuriously down the runway, while suede boots and cuffed, striped pants made dinner vests fresh and palatable. We can’t think of a better wardrobe for budding boulevardiers.
