In the new book, the Orwell-reading, Demeulemeester-loving authoress advocates the importance of inner balance and not taking life too seriously—except when it comes to her weave. “Drag and style are very important to me,” she tells W, “parts of it should be important to you too.” But she takes a different tone when it comes to Fashion Week. “I love fashion, love color…love all of that.
