Here’s another reason to love Sweden: Lamija Suljevic. Images from the 22-year-old designer’s latest collection landed in our inbox today, immediately conjuring a cross between silent film star Theda Bara (who you can thank for the word “vamp”) and Vivienne Westwood. Like our fave Dame, Suljevic knows her way around a structured silhouette—ditto her penchant for towering platforms. If the vibe looks dreamy, chalk it up to Suljevic’s love of fantasy and dress-up. Of course, all that girlishness is tempered by a very adult mastery of avant-garde detail (note the embroidery, braiding, pleats and lace). We’re digging the young’un’s handiwork.
