Transformers

There’s chunky jewelry and then there’s Hanna Hedman‘s surreal creations. Fitting together bits of silver and powdercoated copper with OCD-like precision, the Swedish jewelry artist hand-makes these intricate one-off pieces that look unsettlingly like a robotic insect. Or a coral reef made from aluminum foil. Or the Tin Man demolished and repurposed as a necklace. Whatever the analogy, they’re obviously not for the faint of heart, or bad of back, and for that we applaud Hanna. We can’t wait to see what she does with hats.
