Man About Town
Acrimony, San Francisco’s source for bleeding-edge international labels, has reopened after a well-advised move from off-off-beaten-path to a bustling block in Hayes Valley. Mannish pieces from Kai-Aakmann and Ann-Sofie Back have been added to the racks, while men can now get their hands on Odyn Vovk’s goth-inspired leather jackets and button-downs from the Gitman Brothers, the guys who create the shirting for Thom Browne. The layout of the new spot consists of two rooms separated by an open-air breezeway, which leads into a concept space that rotates every six weeks, beginning with the theme of—what else?—androgyny. So, a sweet set-up on Hayes’ main drag, better parking, new collections—change is good. By the way, in case you’re wondering about the cynical choice of name, apparently it was how owner Jenny Chung felt about fashion in the city, before opening her store of course. 333 Hayes St., 415-861-1025
