Putting the Art in Rodarte
For the Colette launch of Rodarte’s shop-in-shop and gallery (on view through November 7), Laura and Kate Mulleavy took over the second floor in a recreation of their ever-expanding universe. The likes of Dasha Zhukova and Dree Hemingway came out for a glimpse at the sisters’ favorite Japanese horror films and their now-legendary thigh-high boot collaboration with Nicholas Kirkwood—and everything in between. The Mulleavys also curated an exhibition of artist friends—Kim Gordon, Mari Eastman, Raymond Pettibon—and even poke fun at themselves with I Hate Rodarte T-shirts, a Colette exclusive.
