Ohne Titel

Alexa Adams and Flora Gill’s latest collection for Ohne Titel featured a textural reinterpretation of what will heretofore be referred to as “diet bondage” (or “bondage lite” for Europeans). Everything from mummified wrap tailoring to harnesses made out of spaghetti straps screamed “tie me up, tie me down”—down to the Cesare Paciotti woven leather boots. If last season the Ohne Titel girl went clubbing, this season she’s roaming a pharaoh’s tomb.

For all of my joking around, though, it’s clear that Gill and Adams are not. Ohne Titel seems to be heading into the final stretch toward CFDA Award validation, so much so that the collection managed to incorporate nearly every trend from the past two seasons. Body-con greige knits with black, red and blue accenting recalled Rodarte, while asymmetry on a draped blazer screamed Helmut Lang, where one of the designers hails.
