Erin Fetherston
Predictably, Erin Fetherston’s spring collection, Ladyland, overflowed with blue-bowed camisoles, white linen eyelet skirts, racetrack hats, fringed tan tunics, ecru booties and other pieces straight out of a period film. Yet the plunging neckline on a pale pink, floral cloqué dress did little to detract from its overall matronly vibe. Ditto the navy and pink cherry blossom chiffon (inspired by a childhood trip to Nara, Japan), which Fetherston herself donned when taking a bow. There were even gloves of the sort grandma, or Mad Men’s Betty Draper, might have worn. Sequins also figured prominently, on shifts, cardigans and wrap dresses. Cameras flashed furiously when one model stepped out in a gold pair of shorts, coupled with a see-through black Bobinette top. Apparently some ladies are also tramps.
