We
recently caught up with Grizzly Bear frontman Ed Droste after his
over-capacity concert, concluding the Williamsburg Waterfront summer “Pool
Party” series. Playing to a packed park where beer-guzzling bike messengers
stood shoulder to shoulder with babes in bikinis—and, bizarrely enough, Beyoncé—Droste
received a roaring ovation and the ‘Burg bid adieu to a summer of free Sunday
concerts until 2010. Eager to get out of town for Labor Day and take a breather
from his nonstop tour schedule, Ed slowed down long enough to give us this mix of tracks he’s been
