London import Louise Goldin made her New York debut with a fleet of her signature knits. Goldin, who spent the past two years launching Kanye West’s label, got a nod from the rapper, who showed up with girlfriend Kim Kardashian to a barrage of flashbulbs.
Once the buzz quieted and the collection started, out came a series of long, lean and sporty dresses in cream, blue and metallic bronze lurex and shiny patent silver. Along with bubbly popcorn sweaters and clingy skirts, the designer showed drop-waist dresses with sheer insets at the hem. Oversized Star Trek swooshes, split skirts, and cut-off sweatpant culottes (which looked much better than it sounds) added a sense of fun.
